The River Bourne Club

INTRODUCTION TO OUR LESSONS

It’s all about spending quality time with your little one and in that process, we will be teaching you how to teach your baby to swim. Our goal is to develop core aquatic skills by developing their natural water instincts.

We have developed our Swim Stars program with the guidance of the STA and the governing body – Swim England. This is to ensure that we are delivering safe and the most updated curriculum.

During your child’s journey through our Swim Stars program, they will learn how to keep themselves safe in and around water. Which has to be one of the most valuable life skills children can learn.

Our lessons provide a social atmosphere that allows the children to build their confidence around others.

ABOUT OUR LESSONS

Our swimming lessons provide an intimate and supportive environment. Each session accommodates up to 8 little ones, each with a parent/carer, and one of our skilled teachers in the pool.

Lesson details:

  • Duration: Each lesson is 30 minutes long.
  • Frequency: Weekly sessions offer a consistent routine.
  • Environment: A calm, focused setting perfect for bonding with your baby away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Teaching approach: Our method is designed to be fun and engaging. Skills are introduced through a combination of songs and playful activities. This ensures that every moment in the pool is enjoyable and stimulating.

Personalised learning: We tailor each lesson to match your child’s abilities. Our teachers ensure that your little one progresses at their own pace, making sure they are ready before moving on to new skills. With our thoughtful approach, both you and your baby will look forward to a delightful and enriching experience in the pool.

ACCESSORIES FOR THE LESSONS

Towels: Pack one for yourself and one for your child.

Changing mat: Changing mats are ideal for quick and convenient changes anywhere.

Waterproof nappy: Rather be safe than sorry.

Warm hat: Keep your child’s head warm after swimming with a cozy hat.

Swimwear: Don’t forget your own swimsuit! Many parents come dressed in their swimwear to simplify the process and only needing to change their child upon arrival.
